OTC names new business development manager

Ozarks Technical Community College promoted Lynda Doepker to business development manager for the school's Center for Workforce Development.

Doepker, who previously worked in the school's career employment services department, will work on behalf of the Center for Workforce Development with businesses in Taney, Stone and eastern Christian counties, according to a school news release. She is familiar with the area, serving on economic development committees for the chambers of commerce in Hollister and Republic.

Doepker also will work with the health care industry in the college's service area to develop work force-training initiatives.

The center specializes in building leadership, developing business and training the local work force, providing courses in lean manufacturing, management development and quality improvement. The center also operates the construction readiness program, the Transport Training Institute, forklift truck training and welding programs.
