Pellham Phillips is architect and engineer for a 160,000-square-foot Courtyard by Marriott that will add 246 rooms to a 500-room hotel and conference center complex in LaVista, Neb., near Omaha. Killian Construction is the general contractor for the estimated $26 million project, with interior design by John Q. Hammons Interiors. The six-story, post-tension concrete structure will feature a three-story atrium, restaurant, bar, boardroom, business library, two meeting rooms, a pool, spa and sun deck. The Courtyard by Marriott will connect via an enclosed walkway to the LaVista Conference Center, and it will have a brick base, standing-seam metal roof and an exterior insulation finish system façade. Completion is slated for February 2009.
