The annual event for insurance professionals is designed to help them meet the ongoing challenges of increasing costs, new products, growing competition and complex legislation in the insurance realm.
I-Day 2007 will be held 7 a.m.–4 p.m. at the Oasis Inn & Convention Center, 2610 N. Glenstone Ave.
Ozarks I-Day board member Janet Nothnagel, executive agency coordinator at Springfield-based PJC Insurance, said part of the day’s activities will be the presentation of the Insurance Professional of the Year. While she did not disclose the honoree’s name, she did say that it’s someone who’s been involved in the local insurance industry for a long time and is well-known for significant contributions to the field.
Panel discussions with legislators and insurance industry experts also will be featured, and Doug Ommen, director of the Missouri Department of Insurance, will be the luncheon speaker. Concurrent educational sessions on motorist coverage, enterprise risk management and identity theft will be offered, and participants will be able to earn continuing education credit.
Nothnagel said registration for the event is $75 per person, and advance registration is encouraged. Details are available at www.ozarksinsuranceday.com.
