Hood-Rich’s Jeffrey S. Bentley, PE, is the engineer for improvements to Valley Water Mill Dam for the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks and City Utilities of Springfield. The project has an estimated cost of $300,000 and is scheduled for completion in 2008. The project comprises a concrete wall and trail on top of the existing berm. The wall and trail were designed to help control projected flood events and provide a walking surface that complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Spillway improvements and a pedestrian bridge also are included.
