It will serve students in kindergarten through fourth grade, said Debby Lawson, director of elementary education for Nixa schools. The school district is planning an Aug. 7 grand opening celebration for the new school. Lawson said the 2007-08 school year will start with 365 students at the school, but it will accommodate 600 students, leaving room for future growth. There will be 18 finished classrooms, with nine shell classrooms that will be finished as needed. Debbie Adams will serve as principal at High Pointe.
