Along the way, her business changed its name to A-Team Dish, but her commitment to education remained.
She shares her entrepreneurial insight with students through Drury University’s Students in Free Enterprise and Women Inspiring Student Entrepreneurs programs.
“I have worked closely with these students, showing them how a small business might operate, helping them to develop a strong résumé, and even putting them in contact with possible employers once they graduate,” Angell said.
Angell works closely with her distributors and Dish Network, and she is regularly invited to attend roundtable discussions that are open to top retailers nationwide.
“At these meetings, I am a voice for local satellite retailers, and we address local retailer concerns and develop new marketing and advertising campaigns,” she said.
Outside of work, Angell is an active member of the Queen City Sertoma Club and volunteers as a Sunday school teacher at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
She married her husband, Don, last spring and has a 6-year-old stepson, Hunter. A baby boy is due in late June.
“My most important personal goal is to have a successful marriage and family life,” Angell said. “We try to keep our focus on our family and support each other in everything we do, whether it is charity work, church ministry or work-related goals.”
