North Point Church expansion

Walton Construction Co. LLC is the general contractor for the 24,356-square-foot addition to North Point Church. Sapp Design Associates Architects PC is the architect for the project. Engineers are Meridian Structural Works, structural; Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing; and Anderson Engineering Inc., civil. According to Walton Project Manager David Atkisson, the addition comprises a 900-seat sanctuary, a new entrance and lobby and an administration wing. The estimated project cost is $3.26 million. Once the addition is complete in mid-summer, Walton will begin renovations to approximately one-third of the existing church structure. Renovations are to be finished by fall.
