Ireland and Associates Inc. is the architect for St. John’s Regional Health System’s Whiteside vertical expansion shell, which will add two floors to the existing building. Engineers are C&R Mechanical, mechanical; Stahl & Ponder, electrical; and Packard Engineering, structural. Interior Planning Consultants is the interior designer, and DeWitt and Associates is the general contractor. The Whiteside building’s original design was completed with the possibility of floor additions. The added space will house medical suites from St. John’s National Avenue Medical Building so that it can be torn down to make room for a heart hospital. Completion is slated for January.
