Open house displays ideas for Jordan Valley expansion

The Jordan Valley Advisory Committee is holding an open house Thursday evening for the public to view ideas for future development of the Jordan Valley area.

Concepts for the East Meadows, West Meadows and Quarry areas of Jordan Valley will be on display 5:30–8 p.m. at the Discovery Center auditorium, 438 St. Louis St. Visitors will be able to vote on ideas and suggestions that have been refined since public input was gathered in an online survey late last year.

The event will have free refreshments and door-prize drawings every 15 minutes.

Door prizes are sponsored by the Springfield Regional Arts Council; University Plaza; Maria’s Mexican Restaurant; Jordan Valley Ice Park; Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau; Urban Districts Alliance; Juanita K.
