Metropolitan National Bank promoted Tiffany McClain to assistant vice president-strategic initiatives manager. Previously assistant vice president-executive assistant, McClain has worked at the bank three years and holds a master’s degree in communication from Drury University.
Education
Christian Universities Online ranked College of the Ozarks No. 1 on its list of the 50 Most Affordable Christian Colleges and Universities, based on net price tuition data.
U.S. News & World Report ranked College of the Ozarks No. 4 on its Best Regional Colleges in the Midwest list and Drury University No. 11 on its Best Regional Universities in the Midwest list. C of O was honored for efforts to reduce student debt, offer quality undergraduate teachers and support veterans.
Drury was recognized for a high percentage of classes with 20 or fewer students at 69 percent and a student-to-faculty ratio of 10-1. The Alliance for Assemblies of God Higher Education honored former Assemblies of God Theological Seminary President and Academic Dean H. Glynn Hall with the Distinguished Administrator Award and AGTS professor Douglas Oss with the Distinguished Educator Award.
Government
The Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys named Sen. Bob Dixon, R-Springfield, the 2015 Legislator of the Year for work on bills and resolutions designed to improve the state’s administration of justice and criminal justice system.
Health Care
Cox Medical Center Branson received a $225,000 grant from the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy to expand health insurance outreach and enrollment in rural communities. Distributed over three years, the medical center is one of 10 organizations selected through the Rural Outreach Benefits Counseling pilot program.
Oxford HealthCare received accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care for home health and hospice services.
Insurance
Ollis/Akers/Arney hired Clay Trautman as an adviser to private clients. He previously worked for Simmons First National Bank and Liberty Bank.
Media
Dean Curtis, a former photojournalist and multimedia editor for the Springfield News-Leader, was selected as an inductee to the Missouri Photojournalism Hall of Fame. A ceremony is scheduled Oct. 15 at the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
Nonprofit
Ozarks Literacy Council named Eva Patterson as executive director. She has a master’s in communication from MSU and previously taught at her alma mater and Ozarks Technical Community College.
Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce hired Ann Elwell as vice president of strategic communications and Johnathan Saunders as public affairs coordinator.
Elwell most recently worked as campus director of Webster University’s Ozarks Regional Campus and previously served the chamber as communications manager for eight years. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mass communication from the University of Central Missouri.
As an advocate for a healthy business climate on behalf of the chamber at the local, state and federal levels, Saunders holds a bachelor’s in political science from Missouri Southern State University and a master’s in public administration from Missouri State University.

Amanda Estes was named director of marketing and business development for Battlefield Mall. With a bachelor’s in business administration from SBU, she manages mall public and community relations, advertising, marketing, special events and revenue development.
Service
ServPro of Springfield operators Brian Grimm, Daniel Bryngelson, Tamara Blakemore and David Bryngelson earned the Millionaire’s Platinum Award for franchisee revenue performance. The award was presented at ServPro’s annual convention in Chicago.
Staffing
Staffing Industry Analysts selected Penmac Staffing Services Inc. President Paula Adams as one of the top 50 women in the staffing industry, based on leadership, creativity and influence.
Technology
ThinkDigital hired Arianna Russell, the founder and CEO of Bodacious Cases, as a partner and chief communications officer. Russell continues to run Bodacious Cases.
Alexander Open Systems hired Luke Shepard as an account manager. He previously directed sales and marketing for Northern Summit Technology and holds a bachelor’s in technology management from Missouri State University.

The American Bus Association named the annual See The World In Branson festival among its Top 100 Events in America.
