Microsoft, Facebook to lay massive undersea cable

Microsoft and Facebook have reached a deal to lay a 4,000-mile undersea cable.

The cable would run from Virginia Beach, Va., to a data hub in Bilbao, Spain.

The move is the latest in a series of transoceanic cables being built by tech companies to deal with demand for bandwidth.
