Backers who had the foresight and the euros to invest in a Bruges, Belgium, beer pipeline now have access to free beer for life.
The De Halve Maan company recently opened the $4.5 million pipeline that ships beer directly from the brewery to the bottle room.
The idea came about after the business faced closure because of increasing costs of transporting its beer in tanker trucks through the city's narrow streets to its bottling plant two miles away.
