Paul McCartney sues to get Beatles songs back from Sony

Posted online
The Beatles singer Paul McCartney is suing to get the band's songs back.

McCartney yesterday filed suit against Sony/ATV Music Publishing to regain the rights to Beatles songs he either wrote or co-wrote with John Lennon.

In the suit, McCartney argues the 1976 Copyright Act should allow him to regain control of the songs from Sony/ATV next year.

The songs he's seeking include "Yesterday" and "I Want to Hold Your Hand."
