Veronica Way opened a Ram Jack foundation repair franchise March 27 with territory rights covering southern Missouri, between West Plains and into Kansas. Operating from a home office, Josh Way and one employee typically address home settlement issues by installing steel underpinnings. He said work is completed from the exterior, with holes dug around the perimeter to access the foundation and install steel piers. “It acts as a pedestal for the foundation to sit on,” said Way, who’s worked the last 10 years as a supervisor for Power Lift Foundation Systems. He said jobs start at $3,000 and go up to $50,000, based on linear feet. Ada, Okla.-based Ram Jack, which operates in over 50 markets, charges a $25,000 franchise fee, and startup investments range from $120,000 to $240,000. Declining to disclose his investment, Way said Ram Jack does not charge royalties. Hours: 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Phone: (417) 374-7400. Web:
