Corwin Public Wholesale
After entering the market in late 2012, Corwin Automotive Group added a wholesale store May 6 to sell higher mileage vehicles before they move to auction. Owner/operator Jeff McConville said Corwin Public Wholesale, 3250 W. Sunshine St., is a pilot store selling cars in the $2,000 to $15,000 price range. Sales Manager Ty Stephens said anticipated inventory is 60-100 cars, mostly acquired via trade-ins at Corwin’s Dodge-Ram-Fiat dealership. Corwin also added a reconditioning center to the wholesale lot after previously outsourcing the detailing work. Located next to the 166 Auto Auction, cars move to the auction after about two weeks on the lot, Stephens said. Hours: 9 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and by appointment. Phone: (417) 720-4701. Web: CorwinAuto.com

First Home Bank
Mountain Grove-based First Bancshares Inc. (OTCQB: FBSI) on Jan. 22 received approval to change its bank branch name to First Home Bank and convert its charter to a bank holding company. Previously operating as First Home Savings Bank, the financial institution served as a thrift holding company. As a Missouri chartered nonmember commercial bank, President and CEO Bradley Weaver said in a news release the move reduces regulatory fees for the eight-branch bank with offices in Springfield, Marshfield, Ava, Gainesville, Sparta, Crane and Kissee Mills. In late April, the bank announced a 26 percent increase in first-quarter net income to $180,000 and earnings per share up to 11 cents. As of March 31, First Home Bank reported assets of $193.8 million and deposits of $168.2 million. Hours: Lobby: 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Friday; drive-thru: 7:30 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m.–noon Saturday. Phone: (417) 887-0090. Web: FirstHomeSavingsBank.com

One Life Church of the Nazarene
Two 501(c)3 organizations merged April 1 to form One Life Church of the Nazarene. The members of Springfield Community Church and its preschool/day care moved to Springfield First Nazarene’s 3245 S. Kansas Ave. campus to form an active congregation of 350, said Ministry Advancement Director Josh Veach. Last year, Springfield Community Church sold its East Battlefield property, and around the same time, SFN Church was wrapping up a $750,000 Children’s Ministry Center expansion. In the merger, Springfield Community Church’s preschool and day care moved into the building. On Jan. 2, One Life Church opened Kids-Connection Preschool & Daycare, and the nonprofit employs 11 on its campus. Hours: 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Sunday services at 10:05 a.m. Phone: (417) 882-5992. Web: 417OneLife.com
