Project description: Kum & Go District Supervisor Tim McCaleb said due to an aging building and limited square footage, the West Des Moines, Iowa-based chain is replacing a smaller store across the street on South Campbell Avenue and Plainview Road. The new store is designed with eight fuel dispensers and a broad selection of fresh food products, including made-to-order pizzas, McCaleb said. The store is equipped with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design features such as LED lighting and low-flow water fixtures. The project is part of Kum & Go’s efforts to invest $24 million through 2015 on store renovations throughout Greene County.
