A partnership between Ford Motor Co. and Jose Cuervo might seem an unlikely match. But the two have struck a deal.
Ford and Jose Cuervo are seeking to make car parts from a byproduct of the agave plant used in the Mexican liquor.
What's expected to result is a cheaper, lighter alternative to traditional plastics. It would be used for storage bins in cars, wiring harnesses and other parts.
