Details of new MSU coach's deal, perks revealed

The new Missouri State University head football coach will receive a $4,800 yearly allowance to Hy-Vee for groceries, a company car, club memberships and moving expenses among his perks.

A Springfield News-Leader Sunshine request of Dave Steckel's offer letter revealed his performance incentives and additional benefits.

He'll make a base salary of $270,000, but he has the ability to make up to $135,000 more from incentives for making the playoffs or meeting attendance benchmarks.
