Bass Pro Shops’ division White River Marine Group is expanding in Bolivar with more manufacturing space and jobs on the way.

White River purchased an existing warehouse that it plans to convert into a manufacturing plant, according to a news release. Located 4 miles from its existing plant in the city, the Tracker Boats manufacturer also is planning to construct an adjacent building at the site.

The expansion means White River would double its manufacturing footprint to 210,000 square feet in the area. The company making 300 manufacturing hires, as well.

“Bolivar is home to some of the finest craftsmen and women in America, and we couldn’t be more excited to showcase their skills and craftsmanship by proudly building more boats right here in America’s Heartland,” said Johnny Morris, founder of Bass Pro and Tracker Boats, in the release.

Todd Chambers, owner of Chambers Real Estate Services LLC, said he represented the seller, Ozarks Ridgerunner IV LLC, in the sale of the roughly 101,000-square-foot building and 42 adjacent acres to White River.

Declining to disclose the sale price, Chamber said the site is located near Bolivar Speedway off Highway 13.

White River is targeting a start of on-site production in the spring and the completion of new construction by summer at the site, according to the release.
