Big Momma’s Coffee and Espresso Bar CEO Lyle Foster, left, is the Oct. 15 guest for Springfield Business Journal’s 12 People You Need to Know live interview series with Editor Eric Olson. Foster is working on an oral history project and developing the African-American Heritage Trail, which in October installed a marker at the downtown square to tell the story of the 1906 lynchings of three black men. “We can look at this as an opportunity for healing,” he said. “To understand our future, we have to reckon with our history.”
