Washington University has purchased nine properties in St. Louis' Delmar Loop.
The private college bought seven buildings, including the well-known Pin-Up Bowl, and two parking lots from Joe Edwards, the longtime steward of the shopping, dining and entertainment district.
Edwards, who still will manage Pin-Up Bowl, said the proceeds would allow him to pursue more projects in the Delmar Loop.
