The University of Missouri-St. Louis has been sued for wrongful death.
Phyllis Massa-Busch filed suit claiming UMSL and the University of Missouri system were negligent in the death of her husband, Lee Busch. The 67-year-old veteran fell off a 10-foot parking lot ledge while leaving a military band concert at UMSL and later died from his injuries.
The lawsuit alleges UMSL failed to properly light the parking lot or add guardrails along the ledge.
