President Donald Trump said 15,000 people have signed up for the "gold card" that offers applicants residency and a path to U.S. citizenship.
The so-called gold card requires a $5 million payment to the U.S. government. With 15,000 signed up, that would amount to $75 billion if all pay the sum.
Trump said on Truth Social that the money would be used "to help balance our budget and strengthen America."
