Trump campaign confirms hack

Donald Trump's campaign for president confirmed that some of its internal communications were hacked.

Politico had received emails from an anonymous source with documents from inside Trump's organization, such as preliminary vetting files for JD Vance as Trump's running mate.

“These documents were obtained illegally from foreign sources hostile to the United States, intended to interfere with the 2024 election and sow chaos throughout our Democratic process," said Steven Cheung, a Trump campaign spokesperson.
