The Kitchen Inc. expanded Michelle McCoy’s role after its director of housing programs accepted an out-of-state job.

Michelle McCoy was promoted to director of compliance and programs, up from her former role as director of compliance. The expanded job fills the gap left by Randy McCoy, who joined Metro Area Continuum of Care for the Homeless in Omaha, Nebraska, as its executive director. Randy McCoy worked for The Kitchen for 13 years, most recently as director of housing programs, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Michelle McCoy and Randy McCoy are spouses, said Roz Palmer, The Kitchen’s community development manager. She declined to comment further, citing the nonprofit's personnel policy.

As director of programs, Michelle McCoy is responsible for The Kitchen’s performance quality improvement program, accreditation and housing programs such as Rare Breed at Home at Last, according to a news release.

“I look forward to working with our top-notch staff and programs as we further our mission of preventing and ending homelessness,” she said in the release.

Prior to joining The Kitchen in 2013, McCoy led homeless services nonprofit One Door and was the previous regional director for Alternative Opportunities Inc.
