Dake Wells Architecture Inc. worked with the Reeds Spring School District to design an update to the Gibson Technical facility, where officials say interior shops are too small, exterior work yards are limited and shop bays are too steep and narrow. The new tech center will be built adjacent to the district’s high school with flexibility in mind. Two linear buildings – one containing shop spaces and the other clean labs – flank a commons space that houses collaboration zones, study nooks, a lecture hall and an outdoor learning lab. DeWitt & Associates Inc. is the general contractor, with engineering work by Crawford, Murphy & Tilly Inc., civil;
J&M Engineering LLC, structural; and True Engineering Group LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. SWT Design Inc. is the landscape architect. The project is slated for completion by August 2024.
The congregation at Crossway Baptist Church is building a children’s wing at the west end of the church, and beginning in 2024, it will be home to a Christian academy.
