Ireland Architects Inc. designed an $8 million renovation to a three-story abandoned building for a new KC Care clinic. Pharmacy, dental and medical services will be on the first floor, medical and medical support spaces on the second floor, and administration and behavioral health services on the third floor. Engineering work is by J&M Engineering LLC, structural; Interpres Building Solutions LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing; and Kaw Valley Engineering Inc. (Kansas City), civil, as well as the project’s landscape architect. A general contractor has not yet been selected. The project is targeting completion in May 2023.
The congregation at Crossway Baptist Church is building a children’s wing at the west end of the church, and beginning in 2024, it will be home to a Christian academy.
