Barry-Lawrence Regional Library Monett Branch
Interpres Building Solutions LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer for a $5.4 million, 20,000-square-foot library that will serve Barry and Lawrence counties. Project officials say construction of the library has been a goal of the counties for two decades and design work started in 2019 after voters approved a tax levy. The facility will have dedicated children, teen and adult areas, as well as collaborative spaces and a community kitchen for classes. Designers say a special feature of the library is a hollowed-out tree in the kids’ room. Paragon Architecture Inc. is the project architect and RE Smith Construction Co. is the general contractor. Additional engineering work is by Toth and Associates Inc., civil; and J&M Engineering LLC, structural. The project is slated for completion in September.
