Springfield-Branson National Airport hangar
2300 N. Airport Blvd.
Crawford, Murphy & Tilly Inc. is the civil engineer for a new maintenance, repair and overhaul hangar at the Springfield-Branson National Airport. The $10.4 million facility is a large, open-bay area that allows space for up to three Embraer 175 aircraft and supports over 60 employees. The complex also includes administration offices, a break room and shop areas with large material storage spaces. The hangar also has training space with a classroom and testing area. The civil design included coordination with the local municipalities on stormwater management with detention storage and a containment system for the high-expansion-foam fire suppression system. Frankfurt-Short-Bruza Associates PC (Oklahoma City) is the project architect, and KCI Construction Co. (St. Louis) is general contractor. The project is expected to wrap in October.
