Williams Elementary School
1813 S. Scenic Ave.
As part of the voter-approved Proposition S, Williams Elementary is being rebuilt with an estimated cost of $19 million, according to Springfield Public Schools. Toth and Associates Inc. is the civil and structural engineer on the project. Officials say the new school will include better access to technology-centered learning environments, safety and security upgrades, and a gym that doubles as a tornado safe room. When the school is completed for the 2021-22 school year, it will house up to 350 K-fifth grade students and serve as an early childhood hub for 100 pre-K students, as well as a location for Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield to serve 200 students daily. Sapp Design Associates Architects PC is the project architect, and Nabholz Construction Services is the general contractor.
