STL movie theater to close amid back rent lawsuit

A St. Louis movie theater is closing amid a lawsuit over back rent.

Los Angeles-based Landmark Theatres announced its theater in the Plaza Frontenac mall would close Feb. 28.

The mall's owner, an entity tied to New York-based Brookfield Properties, sued to evict the theater in November, alleging some $274,000 in back rent owed.
