SRC Logistics wraps up expansion in northeast Springfield

Posted online

A completed expansion project in northeast Springfield stands to benefit two divisions of remanufacturing company SRC Holdings Corp.

SRC Logistics Inc. announced in a news release yesterday that it assumed occupancy in April of its new 413,000-square-foot facility after 13 months of construction. That comes around a year after the SRC subsidiary completed a 150,000-square-foot expansion of its 2607 N. Mulroy Road operation. The original 162,000-square-foot building on the site was completed in 2021.

With the expansion, SRC Logistics has roughly 725,000 square feet under roof on Mulroy Road, located off Interstate 44 near Strafford, according to past reporting.

SRC Logistics, which specializes in reverse logistics and management for the remanufacturing industry, has clients including Bobcat, Navistar and Yanmar, according to its website. With the expansion, the company plans to grow its supply chain management, warehouse contract leasing and order fulfillment services.

SRC Logistics is moving into its new warehouse over a three-month period. The move consolidates the company's operations into one campus and replaces the use of a 410,000-square-foot facility on Pythian Street.

SRC division NewStream Enterprises plans to expand beyond its current campus at 1925 E. Chestnut Expressway into the adjacent Pythian Street building that SRC Logistics is vacating, according to the release.
