Springfield promotional products firms combine

Two Springfield promotional products companies have combined.

Advertising Plus this week announced the acquisition of Yates Promotions. The financial terms of the deal were undisclosed in a news release.

"We’ve been interested in expanding our operations around the Ozarks for a while, and Yates Promotions has proven to be the perfect candidate," said Marc Kiser, president of Advertising Plus, in the release. "Yates Promotions has a well-respected history in Springfield, and we intend to continue building upon their established clientele."

Linda Yates and four other members of the Yates Promotions sales team are joining Advertising Plus, bringing the latter company's workforce up to 17 employees.

Advertising Plus, which offers promotional products and online corporate program services, was established in 1989, five years after Yates Promotions got its start, according to the release. Yates Promotions develops and implements marketing programs and promotions for corporate clients.
