New signage recently was installed at an information technology firm office in Springfield after an acquisition earlier in the year.
Back-office support services company Cosentus Business Services in March purchased the Springfield unit of Aurora, Colorado-based Avitus Group, according to a news release issued late last month. The financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.
“The Springfield team is solid, professional and key to the success of our clients’ business networks,” said Kirk Porter, vice president of technology services at Newport, California-based Cosentus, in the release. “We are currently adding several high-level roles in Springfield that will service clients across all of our locations.”
The Springfield office, at 2020 W. Vista St., continues to provide IT managed services such as network security and server monitoring, as well as a virtual chief technology officer program.
Prior to Avitus, the IT office operated as Layer 3 Technology. Avitus purchased Layer 3 in 2017.
At the new Cosentus location, a team from the company's Billings, Montana, office recently was brought in to rebrand, according to the release. Originally owned by John Horton and Ryan McCoy, Layer 3 leadership transitioned to Kory Jackson under Avitus. Jackson is now director of service operations for Cosentus and leads the Springfield office.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
