Project description: The new 22,000-square-foot Springfield-Greene County Library District Republic Branch is intended to serve as a community resource center, according to project officials from True Engineering Group. The project includes children’s and teens’ areas, a community room and small meeting rooms. Additionally, maker studios are integrated into the project for patrons to create recordings, music and videos. Office collaboration spaces are included, as is an outdoor “Exploratorium” that will include reading areas, a garden and interactive learning spaces for youth. Nature trails are also in the works.
