Springfield cannabis company moving HQ with KC building purchase

Posted online

Springfield cannabis business Show-Me Organics Inc. is preparing to relocate as part of a growing facility building purchase.

Show-Me Organics on Oct. 3 penned a deal to buy an 80,000-square-foot cannabis growing and manufacturing facility in Kansas City from Holistic Industries for undisclosed terms, according to a news release. The deal is pending approval by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

"Show-Me Organics will relocate our corporate headquarters to our new facility in Kansas City," CEO Boston Dickerson told Springfield Business Journal via email.

Capitol Heights, Maryland-based Holistic Industries' Kansas City facility produces more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana flower per month for dispensaries across Missouri, according to the release.

“We believe we are acquiring the best-designed grow facility in the state, and we tip our caps to Holistic Industries perfecting the design and process through buildouts in nine other states,” Dickerson said in the release.

In the email, Dickerson said its laboratory and production facility would remain in Springfield. Show-Me Organics is a majority family-owned company that sells Vivid brand products made at Happy Days, its Springfield infused-product manufacturing lab. The company also owns two dispensaries, Blue Sage Cannabis Co., which operate in Carthage and Lebanon, according to past reporting.

At the Springfield facility, Show-Me Organics produces cannabis-infused products, including coffee pods in partnership with The Coffee Ethic LLC, according to past reporting.
