Springfield Brewing Co. and its distillery plan tap, tasting room in Willard

Springfield Brewing Co. and sister company Ty Iechyd Da Distillery are planning a tap and tasting room in Willard.

The venture would be located inside Ozark Greenways Inc.'s mural building that's adjacent to the Frisco Highline Trail, according to a news release.

“We are thrilled that such a prominent organization like Springfield Brewing Co. has identified Willard as the location for this new enterprise," Willard Mayor Samuel Snider said in the release. "SBC’s plan to repurpose the mural building along the historic Frisco Highline Trail is exciting not only for locals but also for the thousands of people who recreate on the trail throughout the year.”

SBC beers will be on tap at the facility, as will spirits from Ty Iechyd Da.

Officials involved in the venture were unable to provide follow-up details by deadline. The mural on the building is staying in place.

SBC recently expanded Ty Iechyd Da, pronounced “Tea-Yah-Key-Da," into the space that housed the brewery's live music venue called The Cellar, according to past reporting.
