A vice president at the Show Me Christian County economic development organization has accepted a job with the state of Missouri.
Mark Wallace, the SMCC's current vice president of workforce development, is slated to start in October as southwest Missouri regional project manager for the state Department of Economic Development, according to a news release.
"At SMCC, Mark experienced profound growth as an economic developer, and he will yet remain a valuable resource for Christian County," officials with the county economic development organization said in the release. "Show Me is incredibly grateful for Mark and his contribution to the advancement of our community."
Wallace joined SMCC in 2020 as a project coordinator. In his current role, he works with businesses, educational institutions and local government entities on workforce trends, county data and labor force opportunities, according to SMCC's website.
The SMCC in April welcomed Kristen Haseltine as its president and CEO, according to past reporting. She succeeded Andrea Sitzes, who took a job with Arvest Bank.
