Saint Louis University's education school has received a $7.3 million estate gift.
Dr. Virginia “Ginny” Herrmann, a professor of surgery at Washington University who died last year at age 73, left the money for Saint Louis University to establish the Herrmann Center for Innovative Catholic Education.
SLU officials say the gift is the largest ever received from a donor.
