Battlefield-based Verizon wireless retail agent Russell Cellular Inc. promoted executive Jeven Russell to president.
Russell, whose promotion became effective March 6, previously shared the co-president role with Jeff Russell, his father and the company's founder, according to a news release. The older Russell retains his CEO position.
"It's such an honor to step into the president position," Jeven Russell said in the release. "As my parents have built this organization over the last three decades, I take a true sense of pride and responsibility to lead this organization with their legacy."
A company employee for nearly 15 years, Russell has led operational and strategic decisions and initiatives since his promotion to co-president in 2021.
Jeff Russell founded Russell Cellular in 1993. He has tabbed his son as his eventual successor, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting.
In 2022, Russell Cellular produced revenue of nearly $1 billion, said Nathan Mindeman, the company’s chief strategy officer, via email. That's up from $848.8 million in 2021, according to past reporting.
The company has more than 790 stores in 44 states and 2,700 employees, according to the release.
