Rite Aid exits bankruptcy

Rite Aid has emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The company shed some $2 billion of its debt through the process.

Rite Aid will operate as a private business under the leadership of Matt Schroeder, formerly the company's chief financial officer.
