Tulsa, Oklahoma-based Regent Bank, which debuted in Springfield more than six years ago, has launched a new division designed to allow customers to support nonprofits while saving money.
Believe Bank is a program that offers a high-yield savings account to customers, and another percentage in addition is donated to a nonprofit of the customer's choice, according to a news release.
"We wanted to create a program where people can make a difference in their communities without having to give out of pocket,” said Sean Kouplen, Regent Bank's chair and CEO, in the release. “We have found that bank clients really want to make a difference with their banking, and this allows them to do that."
Regent Bank, which launched in Springfield in early 2018, operates locally at 3271 E. Battlefield Road, Ste. 100.
In the Springfield metropolitan statistical area, Regent Bank had $160.2 million in deposits as of June 30, according to data from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. That represented a metro market share of 0.98%.
