Public radio stations affiliated with the University of Missouri are switching to governance by independent nonprofits.
St. Louis Public Radio, KCUR in Kansas City and Classical KC will no longer be affiliated with University of Missouri–St. Louis and University of Missouri–Kansas City.
"Together, we are confident that this transition will position stations in both communities for success in the years ahead," said Todd Graves, chair of the University of Missouri System Board of Curators, in a statement.
