A father and son behind two local payroll companies have joined forces.
Pro-Factors Payroll Service, opened by Brian Weimer in 2002, has merged with A+ Payroll, opened by his father, Jack Weimer, in 1997. The resulting firm, called A+ Payroll Ltd., is based at 1514 E. Bradford Parkway.
The merged company offers client payroll processing, human resource management, time and attendance tracking, general ledger interfacing, and custom reporting. The firm employs eight, according to Brian Weimer, who's serving as CEO. Jack Weimer serves as president.
"This allowed us to bring some more offerings to our clients, and the combined size allowed us to cost justify making some investments in some additional software," Brian Weimer said, noting the merger also helped consolidate expenses and overhead.
One such investment involved upgrading the company's processing systems from "enabled" to "integrated." The improved system combines payroll data, human-resource functions and time-keeping functions into one interface.
