Price Cutter renews PCCC sponsorship, with new presenting sponsor on board

The title sponsor of the Price Cutter Charity Championship has renewed its deal for the golf tournament, and officials additionally announced the signing of a new presenting sponsor.

Price Cutter, owned by Rogersville-based Pyramid Foods, inked a new five-year deal to continue as title sponsor, and Springfield-based Hiland Dairy Foods Co. LLC has become presenting sponsor, according to a news release. The deals were announced following the release of the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour schedule.

Kary Booher, spokesperson for the PCCC and the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, said while the financial terms of the deals are undisclosed, "they do reflect an increase in contribution to the tournament and its charities." Booher said sponsorship dollars fall under a "new three-party agreement" in which the title sponsorship and presenting sponsorship dollars are paid directly to the PGA Tour. Once the PGA Tour deducts funds for the event's purse and other expenses, the remainder is paid by the PGA Tour to the tournament, Booher said.

Past Springfield Business Journal reporting has put the value of the title sponsorship in the several hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Price Cutter has been on board for 24 years with the tournament held at Highland Springs Country Club. The tournament, which has gifted more than $20.5 million to charities, started in 1990.

“Shopping local matters. That’s what Price Cutter Supermarkets has said for years, and for good reason," said Rob Marsh, chief operating officer for Pyramid Foods, in the release. "We want to throw our support to folks here in our backyard, and the tournament is a great way to do that. It helps roughly 50 charities every year, and so we are proud to renew our sponsorship.”

As presenting sponsor, Hiland Dairy replaces Dr Pepper, which held that spot since 2006, according to the release.

“We have been sponsoring the tournament since Springfield became a venue for this major event. We decided to step up our role as a sponsor because we know how important this is for so many local charities," said Rick Beaman, president of Hiland Dairy, in the release.

This year's PCCC in July was won by Matt McCarty, according to past reporting. The PGA-sanctioned event on the Korn Ferry Tour doubles as a fundraiser for children's charities in the Ozarks. The fundraising total for the tournament typically is announced later in the year.
