Pizza Ranch on top in new Greene County ARPA funding round

A Pizza Ranch franchise shop at Battlefield Mall is the top recipient in Greene County's latest round of small-business funding through the American Rescue Plan Act.

The Pizza Ranch restaurant, which opened in November 2019, was approved by the Greene County Commission for an award of $23,750, according to a news release. In all, the commission yesterday made 49 awards totaling $515,455 in the fourth round of small-business funding.

Only one other business, architecture firm H Design Group LLC, received an allocation of more than $20,000. The firm was chosen for $20,500 in funding. [Editor's note: The full list of recipients is attached with the images above.]

Through its ARPA allocation, the commission has set aside $20.4 million for collaboration projects, $12 million for nonprofits, $10.2 million for countywide projects and $8 million for small businesses, with the remainder being held in reserves, according to past reporting.
