Parmele Law Firm PC is relocating, but the company isn't going far.
Owner Dan Parmele said the firm purchased the building at 1545 E. Primrose St. from attorney Jack Hoke.
Parmele Law Firm's new building, at 6,519 square feet, is about 60% of the size of the company's current office at 1505 E. Bradford Parkway, he said. The firm basically is moving across the street, and Parmele said he sold the Bradford Parkway building to Eustasis Psychiatric and Addiction Health.
"The reason we sold and are moving to a smaller building is we have so many people working from home," he said. "People like it. They're better employees when they're working like that."
Of Parmele Law Firm's staff, he estimated two-thirds of them work from home. The firm has around 60 employees in Springfield and 100 companywide.
The relocation is planned in mid-January, Parmele said. The building purchase price was $937,000, he said.
Parmele Law Firm's focus areas include Social Security disability, veterans disability and mass tort cases, according to the company's website.
Parmele established his firm in 2001, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.
