Paragon Fabrication LLC more than quadrupled its space by occupying a former Red Racks Thrift Store.

A 1-year-old sister company to audio-video and lighting business Paragon 360 LLC, Paragon Fabrication relocated on March 1 to 30,000 square feet at 2855 S. Kansas Expressway. It previously occupied 7,000 square feet within Paragon 360, which now has a three-building campus adjacent to Grizzly Industrial Inc. near the intersection of Kansas Expressway and Battlefield Road.

“We greatly expanded our capabilities,” said Donnie Brawner, who co-owns Paragon 360 and Paragon Fabrication.

Brawner said Paragon invested around $450,000 split on infill and new equipment, such as welding stations.

Paragon Fabrication General Manager Chris Koenig, who also is a minority owner in the company, said the business fabricates interior architectural elements through the use of aluminum and wood work, sculpting and painting. It also installs wall columns, sconces and partition walls, among other items.

“Paragon Fabrication is doing a lot of work for Paragon 360 and its clients, but it also is going into the marketplace and getting its work in the hospitality, retail, restaurant world,” Brawner said, noting Paragon 360’s main clientele is churches. “We used to do partners to get that fabrication done.”

Paragon Fabrication signed a five-year lease with an option to buy the Kansas Expressway building from Warren Davis Properties, Brawner said, declining to disclose financial terms. He said Paragon 360 owns the two other buildings on its campus, which are located behind Paragon Fabrication’s new digs.

Brawner added Paragon Fabrication currently has around 16 employees, with plans for another four hires in the near term. It has space for up to 50 employees, he added.

Combined, Paragon 360 and Paragon Fabrication employs around 80 people.

Red Racks vacated the building last month, he added. The thrift store moved to the former King Cash Saver building at 1707 W. Battlefield Road.
