Paragon 360 among latest CARES Act grant recipients

Springfield audio-video and lighting business Paragon 360 LLC was among the top recipients in the latest round of federal stimulus grants approved by Greene County.

Paragon 360 is slated to receive $15,000, the highest grant amount awarded this week by the Greene County Commission. Bug Zero Inc. and Hinode Japanese Steakhouse also were selected for $15,000 grants, according to a news release.

Before the city of Springfield went into lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, Paragon 360's sister company, Paragon Fabrication LLC, more than quadrupled its space by occupying a former Red Racks Thrift Store near the intersection of Kansas Expressway and Battlefield Road. Paragon Fabrication took on the 30,000-square-foot space, at 2855 S. Kansas Expressway, on March 1, according to past reporting. Paragon has a three-building campus at the intersection.

The grants for Paragon, Bug Zero and Hinode were among $153,727 worth of applications approved for funding Dec. 8 by the Greene County Commission, according to the release.

The commission to date has approved around $28 million in Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act funding. The county has until Dec. 31 to distribute the remainder of the $34.4 million in federal funds.
