Almost 20 breweries, distilleries and wineries are on board for the fifth edition of a Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau Inc. program.

The Ozarks Tap and Pour Craft Beverage Tour, which the CVB debuted in 2018, is a self-guided program in which participants can earn prizes for checking in at various craft beverage venues between Springfield and Branson. The 2022-23 tour began June 17 and concludes May 31, 2023, according to Springfield CVB spokesperson Susan Wade.

Anyone 21 or older can participate in the program for free by signing up at SpringfieldMo.org. Wade said a grand prize of an Ozarks craft beverage gift basket with products and gift cards from the merchants on the tour – valued at over $100 – is being offered for the first time. Additionally, branded stickers are being given to those who visit and check in at five venues, with a collectible T-shirt for 10 check-ins, according to a news release.

People can check in with a code provided by the breweries, distilleries and wineries on the tour.

Participating businesses are:
• 4 by 4 Brewing Co. LLC, Springfield;
• 7 Cs Winery LLC, Walnut Grove;
• Back Home Brewing LLC., Ozark;
• Banter Brewing Co. LLC, Springfield;
• Bear Creek Wine Co., Walnut Shade;
• Boat Town Brewing LLC, Phillipsburg;
• Bub’s Distillery LLC, Rogersville;
• Hold Fast Brewing, Springfield;
• Leaky Roof Meadery LLC, Buffalo;
• Lindwedel Winery, Branson;
• Missouri Ridge Distillery LLC, Branson;
• Mothers Brewing Co. LLC, Springfield;
• Ozark Hills Winery, Branson;
• Show-Me Brewing LLC, Springfield;
• Springfield Brewing Co., Springfield;
• Tie & Timber Beer Co. LLC, Springfield;
• Turkey Creek Brewery and Gastropub, Hollister;
• White River Brewing Co., Springfield; and
• Wire Road Brewing Co; Battlefield.

Participants who check in at all 19 locations are entered for a drawing to win the grand prize. Those who have participated in the previous year’s tour will need to sign up again for the 2022-23 program, according to the release.

The Ozarks Tap and Pour tour was launched by the Springfield CVB to highlight local beer, wine and spirits tourism, according to past Springfield Business Journal reporting. The CVB modeled its program after the KC Ale Trail and Fayetteville Ale Trail, which published guides to explore local craft breweries.

CVB officials said the positive response to its program led the organization to create the Ozarks Coffee Trail in 2021. The coffee trail works the same way with participants checking in and making qualified purchases at coffee shops to earn a souvenir mug. This year’s coffee trail program concludes Sept. 28, according to the CVB.
